Responsibilities/Duties

The Toxicology Project Coordinator/Data Analyst extracts toxicology data/information from various internal and public access databases and documents, and creates, maintains, and analyzes databases of results from in vivo and/or in vitro test methods. This individual also assists in the development/writing/review of scientific and technical documents. They will develop, maintain, and utilize databases of test methods results, and assist with the analysis of data, including data curation, statistical evaluation, and preparation for/conducting computational analyses using predefined workflows. This could also include any/all of the following roles and responsibilities: assist with the dissemination of information needed by U.S. governmental committees and regulatory agencies, working groups, peer review panels, and test sponsors; preparing meeting summaries for distribution internally, to the scientific community, and to the public; and technical writing and editing; coordinate and provide technical support for interagency working groups. The project coordinator/data analyst will work in a team environment where cooperation and a professional attitude are essential. Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Required Experience

>2 years post degree experience in biology/biochemistry/toxicology and/or data analysis

Required Education

B.S. or M.S. in a related scientific field
 

Required Qualifications

Familiarity searching scientific databases such as PubMed, EPA’s Chemistry Dashboard. Proficiency in a statistical programming environment (such as R) or a programing language (Python, Java) and experience in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, or computational biology are desired.  Excellent organizational, and oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team are essential.
